Midthunder is a member of the Fort Peck Tribe of Assiniboine. She was born in Shiprock, New Mexico on the Navajo Nation. Amber has been identified as Native American from her father's family tree, is part of the Fort Peck Sioux Tribe. Amber's mother was adopted which means that Amber is of unknown ancestral lineage.
